Re-branding Journey – Part 3
What an exciting week it has been, firstly winning South West VA of the Year in the UK VA Awards, and today the big reveal of the logo designs by my branding company Alder & Alder. After a busy morning catching up on client work after being out of the office at the awards in Bristol this week, I set off to Hotel Du Vin in Exeter, to meet with Jonathan to see what he had come up with. Had the questions that he had asked and the answers I had given been enough to create a new brand for my business that would be perfect, or was I going to have to give Jonathan that face that you give people when they give you a Christmas present you really don’t like (you know, the ‘do you know me at all?’ face). I was slightly nervous to say the least.
“Was I going to have to give Jonathan the ‘do you know me at all?’ face?“
After ordering a cuppa and settling into the big leather armchairs, Jonathan began to explain the ‘story’ behind the logos and how he had come up with the designs that he was about to present. It was all feeling good, yes he did get me, what I was trying to achieve with the re-brand and where I want my business to go. And then the big reveal. Jonathan had come up with six possible designs, and presented these one by one (I am not going to give anything away here, else it will spoil my reveal in a couple of weeks time!), all of which were great! There were most definitely four or five of the six which stood out and really felt right, but one in particular that I thought ‘yes, that’s it’. That’s all I’m saying!
The next stage of the process is to nail down the chosen design, and get it across to my web designer. As I write this post, even Jonathan doesn’t know which one I have chosen! Next week I will also be getting the photos from Will, my photographer, and I hope this will all start to come together beautifully.
Watch this space for the big reveal!
